South Pearl

In 1893, one of Denver's first trolley cars rumbled down South Pearl Street. Today, the movie houses, stores and businesses have been carefully restored and converted into 14 restaurants and bars, nine art galleries and 34 specialty stores. You'll find stores devoted to fine stationery, bicycles, clothing, health and beauty and chocolate. You'll also find coffee shops, wine bars, neighborhood pubs and some of the city's most popular fine dining, with cuisine ranging from Hungarian to sushi. For decades, the Denver Folklore Center (1893 S. Pearl St.) has been a mainstay in the neighborhood, specializing in new and used guitars, banjos, mandolins, dulcimers, autoharps and fiddles.
