With accolades like "19th-busiest airport in the world," there's always something happening at the Denver International Airport (DEN). Below are the latest updates and information on DEN.
New International Flights
A nonstop service between Denver and Munich, Germany will begin May 2016 and operate 5 times a week. The joint service by German airline Lufthansa and Denver International Airport will open up 85 destinations in North America from Europe and makes about 30 new European markets one stop away from Denver.
An average of 1,500 daily flights, 16 commercial airlines, not including charter and regional carriers, offer nonstop service to more than 180 destinations worldwide.
Airport Rail Launches
At a cost of $9, travelers can now take the airport rail from Denver Union Station to Denver International Airport and vice versa. The 23-mile ride takes approximately 37 minutes. The rail line serves eight total stations, including the new Westin Denver International Airport Hotel, connected to the airport iteself.
New Airport Westin
The 519-room hotel will feature 27,500 square feet of meeting space that can accommodate groups up to 800 people and a public plaza.
