The 2012 NCAA Women’s Final Four will be staged in Denver March 30-April 3, 2012 and is the largest and most prestigious national collegiate championship that Denver is able to host, pumping $20 million into the local economy.
5,000 women’s basketball student-athletes from 336 NCAA Division I institutions are competing for the opportunity to play in the Women’s Final Four and win the national championship, which will be decided April 3 at Denver’s Pepsi Center.
Surrounding the games are a dozen free events for local residents and multiple opportunities for local media coverage of this national sporting event.
At this Feb. 27 10 a.m. meeting, NCAA officials will provide information about all free events, credentialing, story ideas, potential visuals and photo opportunities, live broadcast and interview opportunities and ways that the public can be involved in a national sporting championship.

An expected 30,000 visitors from out-of-town are expected to descend upon Denver for the 2012 NCAA Women’s Final Four, with an estimated economic impact of $20 million. This logistics meeting will give you the opportunity to learn about all the events associated with the NCAA Women’s Final Four, and plan feature stories, live coverage and in-studio interviews surrounding this massive event.
From hundreds of kids dribbling basketballs through the streets, a free performance by the internationally renowned singer Jewel, a massive battle of the bands competition, a mascot face-off and much more, Denverites will feel the heat as the NCAA Women’s Final Four face off in the Mile High City.
