Denver Restaurant Week 2011 Menus Are Live

DRW 2011 will be held Feb. 26-March 11, 2011. More than 268 restaurants have already signed up for the two week dining extravaganza, where participating eateries offer a multi-course dinner for the “mile high” fixed price of $52.80 for two ($26.40 for one, tax and tip not included). Denver is exactly 5,280 feet above sea level – one mile high.

“We know there is great anticipation to see the Denver Restaurant Week menus and make reservations, since many of the most popular restaurants sell out almost immediately,” said Richard Scharf, president & CEO of VISIT DENVER, the group that organizes DRW.

A total of 335,580 meals were served during DRW 2010, up 13 percent over the 298,200 total meals served in 2009. Web site traffic at the DRW site also increased 17 percent in 2010 with 376,372 unique visits, up from 322,782 unique visits in 2009. There were a total of 5,374,406 million page views, also up 17 percent.

“Denver now has one of the largest restaurant weeks in the nation, a sign of how many new restaurants have opened in the Denver market in the past few years,” Scharf said. He noted that there are more than 40 new restaurants participating in DRW for the first time in 2011.

“Denver Restaurant Week is the perfect time to gather some friends, go on line at www.DenverRestaurantWeek.com, look through all of the enticing menus, and make reservations,” Scharf said.

He reminds diners participating in Denver Restaurant Week to cancel any reservations they will not be able to keep well in advance and to remember to tip their server.
