DENVER ZOO KICKS OFF DENVER BEER FEST WITH SOLD OUT BREW AT THE ZOO EVENT

To kick off Denver Beer Fest, a 10-day celebration of beer-centric events, Denver Mayor John Hickenlooper offered a toast to Colorado brewers at the first event, Brew at the Zoo.  More than 40 top Colorado brewers participated in the toast at Denver Zoo.  Denver Beer Fest, Sept. 10-19, is presented by VISIT DENVER and will include rare beer tastings at restaurants and taverns, beer-paired dinners, “meet the brewer” nights, beer tappings, brewery tours, and a variety of entertaining beer events

Presented by Mountain States Toyota, on Friday, September 10, from 7 - 10 p.m., Brew At The Zoo featured more than 40 of Colorado’s finest breweries, complimentary appetizers, music and dancing. Proceeds from Brew at the Zoo, now in its 13th year,support a good cause - the Red Apple Fund for Lifelong Learning, a scholarship fund of Denver Zoo.

Net proceeds from Brew At The Zoo will benefit Denver Zoo’s Red Apple Fund for Life-Long Learning, which makes it possible for all individuals- no matter their economic circumstances – to discover the wonders of animals through participation in Denver Zoo education programs.
