Green practices

The Education Center at the U.S. Department of Energy's (DOE's) National Renewable Energy Laboratory showcases technologies that can save energy, improve the environment and lower the cost of energy bills. The Education Center itself is an exhibit of renewable energy and energy efficiency technologies. Passive solar energy features, energy-efficient lighting, an energy management system and other strategies help cut energy costs and optimize building performance.
