A discount on admission is available for groups of 10 or more. Non-profit organizations also receive special group pricing with proof of non-profit status. Group rate tickets can be purchased in advance, by reservation, online (for groups 10-49) or at the box office on the day of your visit. Tours are offered on a case by case basis. The first U.S. zoo to receive ISO 14001 certification for the entire facility and operations. This international certification ensures the zoo is attaining the highest environmental standards. We have established a Sustainable Management System (SMS), which provides a framework for systematically identifying, implementing and continually reducing environmental impacts in all of our operations. We are a Gold Member of the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment's Environmental Leadership Program, exemplifying outstanding commitment to environmentally-friendly business practices. We monitor the amount and types of waste generated through our everyday operations to devise ways to reduce our waste stream and promote recycling efforts to both zoo staff and visitors. In addition, Denver Zoo utilizes compostable utensils and service ware at our restaurants.
