Thomas Moran’s Yellowstone: A Project for the Nation features chromolithographs by the 19th-century painter Thomas Moran. As a member of multiple explorations, including an 1871 survey of Yellowstone National Park, Moran sketched the Western landscapes he encountered, delivering beautiful images of the largely unknown region to the public, and contributed to a growing national sentiment of the West.
