The Mercury Cafe is an internationally known, artistic, eclectic, local treasure. The Mercury serves truly local, truly organic food, and boasts solar panels and windmills. Vegetarian and Vegan meals are not an afterthought at the Mercury, they are an integral part of their menu. As is their commitment to providing Gluten Free options. The Beef, Bison and Elk are all grassfed (of course) and the Pork is from Monroe Organic Farms. Our fish is ranched in Alamosa and outside Boulder. Chef Marilyn Megenity collaborates with small farmers, ranchers, dairies, brewers and vintners to create the food the Mercury proudly serves. Dinner is accompanied by soft, live Jazz or classical music. The second floor of the Mercury Cafe functions as a dancehall, theater & reception room. In business 36 years, the Mercury Cafe is an innovative cultural and culinary institution, and is the recipient of numerous awards.
