The Blue Bonnet is a family owned and operated authentic Mexican restaurant on historic South Broadway in Denver. The restaurant was established in the 1930s and upon purchase by the Mobells in the 1960s, transformed into the fresh, award-winning eatery run by the owner’s son and daughter to this day. Their diverse menu includes signature tacos with house made salsas, unique tamales, famous chili rellenos and enchiladas, seasonal favorites such as pasole, gazpacho, ceviche and pumpkin flan in addition to nearly 50 more items. The margaritas are Latin-inspired from all reaches of the culture to include Cucumber-Jalapeno, strawberry-basil, rosemary lemon and the multiple-award winning house margarita, the perfect margarita amongst nearly two dozen more. Every item on the menu is made from scratch. Blue Bonnet uses fresh ingredients and local products whenever possible. There is absolutely NO lard in any of the dishes prepared at the restaurant, and that includes the beans!

• Choice of BB Platter (guacamole, queso and flour tortilla chips) or Fiesta Cheese Quesadilla with raspberry habanero sauce drizzled on top.
• Specialty Margarita for each person. Choice between a Perfect Marg, Ginger Lime, St. Germaine, Strawberry Basil, Cucumber Jalapeno or Orange Habanero

• A cup of Blue Bonnet’s signature soup, choices include chicken tortilla, smoked tomato with bacon puree and signature pasole.

• Entrée choices of Carne Asada or Chili Lime Chicken, each served with grilled vegetables and a choice of rice and black beans (no lard used in any beans or entrée at Blue Bonnet!) or a house salad.

• A choice of either the Shrimp or Vegetable stuffed Poblano, a favorite at the Blue Bonnet.

• Dessert platter with sopapillas and flan drizzled with raspberry sauce.
