Bonnie & Clyde

Feb 17, 2017 - Mar 19, 2017

Music by Frank Wildhorn, lyrics by Don Black, and book by Ivan Menchell.

When Bonnie & Clyde meet, mutual cravings for excitement immediately set them on a mission to chase their dreams of fame. Their bold and reckless behavior turns the young lovers’ thrilling adventure into a downward spiral, putting themselves and their loved ones in trouble with the law. Forced on the run from every southern state’s police force, the notorious lovers resort to robbery and murder to survive. As the infamous duo’s fame grows bigger, their inevitable demise draws nearer. Bonnie & Clyde is a thrilling and sexy musical with a non-traditional score, combining blues, gospel and rockabilly music.

THAC favorites Nick Sugar and Donna Debreceni are collaborating again to bring you this "appealing patchwork of Americana — blues, gospel and fiddle-filled rockabilly." -- Joe Dziemianowicz, New York Daily News. Nick Sugar, recently at THAC directing A Christmas Story, directs and choreographs Bonnie and Clyde. Sugar serves as a resident director at Littleton Town Hall Arts Center and last season he directed West Side Story, Violet, and Legally Blonde. Nick has received several honors for his work including The Best of Westword Award, The Denver Post Award, The Henry Award and The Marlowe Award. Musical direction is by Donna Kolpan Debreceni; last seen directing music for A Christmas Story, the Musical and Avenue Q. Donna is a Henry Award Winner for THAC’s 2012 production of The Who’s Tommy.
