The street-party tradition of Carnival takes us from New Orleans to Trinidad and Rio as we bask in the rhythmic magic of everything Cajun and Latin - from Blues to Dixieland, Calypso and Mambo, it's time to party on down with sparkle that can only come from brass, steel pans, washboard and the kitchen sink! Real African Music is part of the Kudzidza Foundation. The Kudzidza Foundation is working to establish and maintain a bridge of mutual education between the U.S. and Zimbabwe. The foundation offers programs to support the lives of children and adults of Zimbabwe as well as other African communities. The African culture is about participation and Kudzidza wants America to participate. The performance will feature live music, drumming and dancing lead by authentic African performers.

Swallow Hill Music's celebration of all things ukulele. The all day festival starts at 10:30 AM and doesn't quit until 11 PM. The visiting artists and performers conduct workshops all day for adults, kids and teens; covering everything from absolute beginners - who can rent or buy a uke for the workshops - all the way to professional players. Artists include James Hill, Boulder Acoustic Society, Danielle Ate the Sandwich, Ukulele Loki, Canote Brothers, Moe Dixon and Eleanor.
