Drawing from the Denver Art Museum’s extensive Spanish colonial art collection, Fashion Fusion looks at the influence textile motif’s have had on other artistic mediums. The DAM collection includes numerous colonial paintings that depict native textiles or textile motifs such as geometric designs reminiscent of Inca tocapu panels and capes and huipiles similar to those worn by Aztec men and women.
