Born to a poor family in Chihuahua, Mexico, Delgado dedicated his life to empowering members of the Latino community through his poetry and teaching. Lalo taught in the Chicana/o Studies Department at MSU Denver for 17 years. His poetry work is well published and includes "Chicano: 25 Pieces of a Chicano Mind." This event is a full-day celebration of his contributions.
