The EPIC Arts Spring 2013 Youth Exhibition will feature artworks created by students participating in RedLine’s Educational Partnership Initiative for the Creative (EPIC) Arts program at Whittier ECE-8 School, Bruce Randolph School, Joliet Learning Center, Noel Community Art School, Gilpin Montessori, SOAR Charter School, Denver Green School and Odyssey School. RedLine’s EPIC Arts program provides a platform for RedLine Resident Artists to work in collaboration with students and educators over several weeks in K-12 schools to implement an experiential curriculum that creates a body of artwork through a lens of contemporary social justice. EPIC Arts empowers youth to become active interpreters within their own unique art practice alongside a professional artist both in and outside of the classroom. Opening reception, Saturday, May 11, 1-4 p.m.
