Tthe story Bruce Miller, known to the Skokomish people of the Pacific Northwest as "subiyay," a great teacher, artist and orator who interpreted the silent teachings of the natural world for all who wanted to learn. Bruce shares with us the traditional practices of gathering and preparing cedar bark for weaving, uses of medicinal plants, and the presentation of wild foods for the Ceremony of First Foods.
