Some have said my pieces resemble star charts, maps, underwater sea life, or the cure for cancer. I let my eye follow its own path around the work, and when it rides in roller coaster fashion throughout all the corners and doesn't stop, then I know the piece is finished, and I can move onto the next. I could improvise some theory about my work, involving creativity, inspiration, and self-healing, but I would be resorting to empty cliches. Really, in the end, it all comes down to the eye.
