Brett Littman, executive director of The Drawing Center in New York, will explore the changing nature of how artists use drawings through the discussion of five recent exhibitions he has curated for The Drawing Center. Focusing on the drawings of Gerhard Richter, Leon Golub, Guillermo Kuitca, Sean Scully, and Giosetta Fiorini, Littman will show how the traditional understanding and interpretation of drawing as secondary to painting doesn't apply.
