Arvada Police Department

The Arvada Police Department sets the standard for excellence. With more than 250 employees, members of the Arvada Police Department are committed to providing quality service to the more than 100,000 citizens of Arvada. The Arvada Police Department is accredited through the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA), an international organization that sets the standards for excellent policing. In order to achieve accreditation, Arvada's department had to meet 459 standards developed by CALEA. Arvada achieved its 7th Accreditation in 2007 and has been accredited for the past 21 years. Arvada is now a CALEA Flagship agency, which means their department will be able to guide others through the accreditation process in the years to come.
