Edgar Degas: The Private Impressionist presents a unique selection of drawings, prints and photographs by the illustrious French artist, Edgar Degas (1834-1917). Exploring beyond Degas’ familiar ballerinas, you will experience a fascinating view into Degas’ art and life including his early drawings of objects in the Louvre Museum. The exhibition is enriched with rare works of art on paper by friends and colleagues in Degas’ circle; other well-known artists of the period including Mary Cassatt, Paul Cezanne, Jean-Léon Gérôme, Jean-August-Dominique Ingres, Gustav Moreau and Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec.
