24th Annual Denver Art Museum Friendship Powwow and American Indian Cultural Celebration
A celebration of the vitality of American Indian cultures, the Friendship Powwow and American Indian Cultural Celebration is one of the Denver Art Museum’s (DAM) longest-running events. Artist-in-residence Marie Watt will be holding a community sewing circle on the plaza; visitors of all ages and levels of experience can join in and help create a work of art. In addition to exploring the museum, visitors can enjoy American Indian dancers and drum groups, participate with local artists in hands-on activities, browse a selection of vendors and enjoy fry bread. All Powwow activities and general museum admission are free.
