Holiday Lights
The Mile High City comes to life during the holiday season, thanks to the millions of lights hung with care throughout town. The season officially kicks off with the Grand Illumination of Downtown (Friday, November 27), featuring beautiful lighting displays at the City & County Building, Denver Pavilions, Union Station, Skyline Park, the 16th Street Mall, and the historic D&F Tower. A week later, the sparkling lights, marching bands, giant balloons, majestic floats and delightful characters of the 9News Parade of Lights (December 4-5) will once again wow hundreds of thousands. Also don’t miss the 38 brilliantly illuminated acres of lights, featuring more than 150 animated animal sculptures during the Denver Zoo’s "Zoo Lights" (December 12-January 4), as well as the gorgeous lighting displays, Trail of Lights and Blossoms of Light, at Denver Botanic Gardens’ two locations (Dec. 4-Jan. 3).

Holiday Performing Arts
Denver’s vibrant performing arts world has plenty of holiday cheer to offer during December. Check out timeless classics like The Nutcracker (November 28-December 27) and A Christmas Carol (November 27-December 26) at the Denver Performing Arts Complex. Sing along to the classics during Christmas with the Children's Chorale (December 5-6) at Boettcher Concert Hall.
