Tiny Library Concert: Masontown

History Colorado is excited to feature Masontown, one Colorado's hottest young bluegrass bands, on the Tiny Library Concert stage in November!

A new and enchanting sound has emerged from the hotbed of the Colorado roots music scene. At once fresh and familiar, Masontown (masontownmusic.com) unites the sounds of the poignant exploration of the Matt Flinner Trio blend with the fierce drive of Bill Monroe and the plaintive song-craft of Cahalen Morrison and Eli West. The band features a lauded fiddle champion (Natalie Padilla), a veteran bluegrass mandolin player and composer (Michael canney), one of Colorado's jazz guitar greats (Eric Wiggs) reborn as a flatpicking sensation, and an upright bassist (Bradley Morse) with roots running deep in the classical and jazz traditions. Bridget Law of Elephant Revival calls Masontown "as high energy as the mountains they hail from... The‘nationally acclaimed fiddling is highly engaging and the talent and sheer joy of the musicians is striking!"
