In The Pepsi Center: Highlights From the Convention Floor
The headline prime-time speaker on Wednesday will be Vice Presidential Nominee Senator Joe Biden.
Featured speakers will include:
Former President Bill Clinton; former Senator Tom Daschle; Governor Bill Richardson and Senators Evan Bayh, John Kerry and Jay Rockefeller. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, Convention home state Senator Ken Salazar, House Majority Whip James E. Clyburn, and Congressman Robert Wexler (D-FL) along with Chicago Mayor Richard Daley. Representative Patrick Murphy (D-PA) and Iraq War veteran Tammy Duckworth will lead a tribute honoring those who give so much to secure our nation’s future – veterans, active duty military and their families.

After Five Jazz and Blues Festival 2008
Denver's rich jazz and blues heritage is on display during the Convention. The After Five Jazz and Blues Festival 2008's stellar musical line-up will represent jazz, blues, Latin jazz, African jazz, gospel and old school jams all in the vibrant Five Points Neighborhood -- known as "the Harlem of the West" in the big band days. DISCOBAMA is a week-long music and dance party bringing together Denver's finest bands, DJs and friends. Rage Against the Machine, Flobots, Wayne Kramer

Known as much for their political activism as for their incendiary live performances, Rage Against the Machine will appear as part of a concert presented by Iraq Veterans Against the War. Also appearing at the show will be Denver's own Flobots, who have made a big splash this year with their hip-hop informed sound and hit song "Handlebars," along with legendary former MC5 guitarist Wayne Kramer. Democracy is all about dialogue -- getting your voice heard and being exposed to new ideas. An initiative of the Denver Office of Cultural Affairs in partnership with the Democratic National Convention Local Host Committee, Dialog: City has already attracted a number of world-renowned artists, including Ann Hamilton, DJ Spooky, Sharon Hayes and Spurse Collective. 1908: When The Democrats First Came To Denver
At the Denver Public Library (10 W. 14th Ave. Pkwy.), explore Denver through the eyes of a Democratic National Convention delegate from 100 years ago in 1908—When the Democrats First Came to Denver. Collections from the Denver Public Library’s Western History Department and the Colorado Historical Society are combined for this joint exhibit, which includes more than 100 photographs, newspapers and cartoons illustrating the places across the metro area where the 1908 delegates visited and the memorabilia they took home with them. Curated by Myron Vallier of the Denver Public Library Western History/Genealogy Department and Judy Steiner, Colorado Historical Society Associate Curator of Photography and Films.
