Community Forums on tap to address Denver's hosting of the 2008 Democratic National Convention

July 21, 2008

Multiple forums held throughout metro area will inform residents about what is happening during Convention Week.

Residents across the Denver area can get a good feel for the upcoming Democratic National Convention by attending one of the community forums hosted by the Denver Mayor's Office and the Denver 2008 Convention Host Committee. The forums will serve to facilitate a community conversation about the Convention and will provide an opportunity for locals, guests and convention goers to find out about what is happening during the week of the Convention.

The forums present a chance to join individuals who have planned the Convention as they give an informative presentation and take questions from the public. The official dates of the Democratic National Convention are Aug. 25-28, but activities will begin as early as Friday, Aug. 22 with the opening of the American Presidential Experience at Invesco Field at Mile High. Tickets are on sale now at Ticketmaster outlets and on the web for the American Presidential  Experience, which is the largest traveling show of Presidential memorabilia.
