Still Room at the Inn! Denver Has Hotel Rooms Available During DNC
August 08, 2008
There are still hotel rooms available in Denver during the Democratic National Convention, August 25-28, 2008, according to the Denver Metro Convention & Visitors Bureau.
The Bureau is keeping a running tab of hotels that still have rooms available, which is posted at www.denver.org/metro/dnc under “hotel information.” There are hotels listed in the seven county metro area, as well as hotels in other communities along the Front Range.
“In addition to the hotels that currently have rooms, we expect rooms to become available through normal attrition. There are 42,000 hotel rooms in the metro Denver area, 8,000 of which are downtown. The Democratic National Convention took a room block of 17,000 rooms. Downtown hotel rooms have been sold out for quite some time, however there are other rooms in the metro area,” stated Richard Scharf, president & CEO of the Denver Metro Convention & Visitors Bureau.
