HOST COMMITTEE ANNOUNCES EVENT SHOWCASING COLORADO-BASED ORGANIZATIONS DURING CONVENTION

Event at Civic Center Park provides unique opportunity
As part of its ongoing effort to celebrate Colorado, the Denver Host Committee invites Colorado-based organizations to participate in the Denver 2008 Convention Marketplace.
The Convention Marketplace will take place Sunday, Aug., 24 at Civic Center Park. It will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and allow participants to advertise, share information and market products and wares.
The Marketplace is being organized and supported by the Denver Office of Economic Development, the Host Committee's Business Outreach Committee and MorEvents.
To participate, organizations can register by calling (303) 350-4119 or go to www.DenverConvention2008.com/Marketplace. The deadline for registration is Aug. 15.

"We have been making an effort to partner with Colorado-based organizations throughout the Convention planning process, and this is one more example of that," said Denver 2008 Convention Host Committee President Elbra Wedgeworth. "We are excited to provide an opportunity for organizations to benefit from Denver hosting the Democratic National Convention."
