The Brown Palace Offers "Democratic Dishes"

August 12, 2008

Enrich your political palate as The Brown Palace Hotel and Spa serves favorite foods from notable democratic politicians in honor of the Democratic National Convention.

Head to Ship Tavern for a taste of Barack Obama’s Potluck Turkey Chili, made from a recipe he has been perfecting since college. Or, enjoy Pan Seared Colorado Bison Medallions with Whiskey-Tortilla Sauce, the dinner served on the final evening of the G8 Summit in Denver in 1997. For something sweet, try a slice of Banana Cream Pie, one of Bill Clinton’s favorite desserts. (All served in Ship Tavern restaurant).

For your next lunch in Ellyngton’s, order Jimmy Carter’s Cup and a Half. Carter’s lunch of choice at the White House was a sandwich, cup of soup and salad with his favorite Roquefort dressing.

Special menu items will be available through the end of August.
