Denver's ArtDistrict on Santa Fe Celebrates DNC with Special Promotions

August 20, 2008

Denver's largest art district launches several promotions for locals, delegates, and other visitors to Denver for the Democratic National Convention the third week of August this year.

Galleries on Denver's historic Santa Fe Drive will be open extended hours from 9 to 9 each day of the Convention and will be participating in a "Tax Free Art Zone" from the 23rd to the 28th of August.

Beginning Saturday, August 23rd, visitors to the ArtDistrict will find themselves in a "Tax Free Art Zone." Galleries in the district will pick up the tax tab for all purchases during the convention, encouraging our out-of-town guests to freely spend and collect art and gifts while visiting one of the country's most renowned art districts. Local customers and District fans are encouraged to come down and take advantage of this discount as well.

To further encourage Convention guests and others to visit and enjoy the ArtDistrict, galleries on Santa Fe Drive will be open for extended hours during the DNC. Gallery hours are 9 am to 9 pm every day during the convention, beginning on the 23rd of August and running through the 28th of August.

With its close proximity to downtown and the Pepsi center, its diverse array of fine art, fine crafts and small art and gift items, and a variety of restaurants, the ArtDistrict is the perfect place to shop and experience Denver's culture during the Convention.

Denver's ArtDistrict on Santa Fe is dedicated to promoting public awareness of Santa Fe Drive as a unique art and cultural district, and furthering the arts and art education in the metropolitan community. Just two miles South and West of Downtown and the Denver Art Museum, Denver's ArtDistrict on Santa Fe has grown to include one of the most diverse and creative arrays of businesses in the country, including: art galleries, restaurants, design and architectural firms, yoga studios, furniture stores, and a host of artist studios. It is a collection of over 55 galleries and related businesses now reaching from 5th to 13th Avenues on historic Santa Fe Drive.
