ACCESSIBILITY FACT SHEET FOR TRAVEL TO AND FROM INVESCO FIELD AT MILE HIGH THURSDAY, AUGUST 28, 2008

The Democratic National Convention Committee (DNCC) recommends that persons with disabilities in possession of Community Credentials for the Democratic National Convention dated Thursday, August 28th take Lightrail to INVESCO Field at Mile High.
Lightrail to INVESCO Station provides credentialed attendees the most accessible and convenient route to INVESCO Field at Mile High and the most direct access into the venue.
In addition to Lightrail to INVESCO Station, RTD will be providing accessible transportation to and from INVESCO Field at Mile High via the following routes:
- Shuttle Buses from Coors Field Parking Lots A, B, and C. (Access at Park Avenue and Wazee St.)
- RTD Bus loop from 22nd and Blake via Broadway and 8th Avenue
Individuals should clearly display their credentials at all times.
Due to the size of this event and venue, we strongly encourage persons with disabilities to utilize the same mode of transportation to and from INVESCO Field on Thursday, August 28th.
SECURITY
Due to heightened security procedures in place for the Democratic National Convention, please be advised that entry to INVESCO Field at Mile High may require lengthy wait times. Please be patient and plan your trip accordingly. The DNCC, the City of Denver and RTD will provide staff and volunteers to direct and assist all credentialed guests and persons with disabilities.
Further, all credentialed individuals entering INVESCO Field at Mile High will be required to pass through Magnetometers or be screened by handheld metal detectors by law enforcement personnel. Please familiarize yourself with the prohibited items list in advance of the event.
ACCOMODATIONS FOR PERSONS WITH DISABILIITIES WITHIN INVESCO FIELD AT MILE HIGH
Individuals with disabilities possessing Community Credentials and who requested wheelchair accessible seating when activating their credentials will be directed to appropriate pre-assigned seating areas with their companion upon entry and passage through security check points.
Individuals requesting Assistive Listening Devices will be directed to Guest Services inside INVESCO Field to sign out ALD equipment. In addition, the DNCC is utilizing handheld Blackberry devices with real-time text captioning in partnership with Colorado Captioning.
EXITING INVESCO FIELD AT MILE HIGH
We strongly recommend that DNC attendees on Thursday, August 28th, exit INVESCO Field at Mile High by the same route that they arrived. Again, the most convenient and accessible public transit station is the INVESCO Lightrail Station.
