'Tis the season for buying local! This Holiday shopping season, find some of those "only-in-Denver" gifts in Mile High neighborhoods. Make your way to some of the city's vibrant art districts and pick out a piece created by a local artist. You can also head to one of Denver's marvelous museums and buy a family membership or a unique present for someone special.

Start your shopping spree by exploring the ArtDistrict on Santa Fe, the hub of the Denver art scene, with the largest concentration of art galleries in Colorado. Featuring more than 40 galleries, shops, and restaurants, the district offers everything from traditional art to contemporary and emerging art, including painting, pottery, sculpture, photography, mixed media, graphic art, and textiles.

Next, move onto The Golden Triangle Museum District, a culturally stimulating neighborhood that is home to eight of Denver's museums, in addition to more than 50 galleries, fine art studios and specialty stores. At the Denver Art Museum's shop, you can choose from an array of beautiful and unique items perfect for holiday gift-giving, such as jewelry, books, scarves, games, prints and decorative accents for an artful home. During the Holiday season, Cherry Creek North's 16 blocks are filled with holiday lights and decor highlighting the region's largest collection of independently owned boutiques, home stores, restaurants and galleries. For an extra-special shopping experience on December 11 and 18, shoppers enjoy Candlelight Shopping Evenings with extended store hours.
