Red Rocks Concerts
Friday, Aug. 29 – Sun. Aug. 31
Red Rocks Amphitheatre, Morrison, CO
By the end of August, the famed Red Rocks summer concert season is winding down – but there are still a number of can’t-miss shows left on the schedule. Case in point, the three fantastic bills over Labor Day Weekend. First up on Friday is 98.5 KYGO’s 2nd Annual Summer Chill Out with bluegrass pickers Dierks Bentley, Rodney Atkins and Cross Canadian Ragweed. Saturday night is jam-band heaven – the legendary Allman Brothers will be sharing the stage with ex-Grateful Dead guitarist Bob Weir and his band Ratdog. Jammers of a more recent vintage will be showcased on Sunday, with Gov’t Mule and Umphrey’s McGee supplying the good vibes.

Family Day in the Museum
Tuesday, Aug. 26 – Saturday, Aug. 30
Museo de las Americas, Denver, CO
Enjoy free admission to one of Denver’s finest cultural gems, the Museo de las Americas. You and your family will tour the pre-Hispanic and folk art galleries and visit the special exhibition, Inside/Outside/North and South, an international collaboration of art pieces created by teenagers in Bolivia, Mexico and Denver, which explores the nature of prejudice and discrimination. Children will also get chance to get hands-on, crafting a piñata and listening to folktales from the Americas.

Jazz Aspen Snowmass Labor Day Festival
Thursday, Aug. 28 – Monday Sept. 1
Snowmass Town Park, Snowmass Village, CO
A Labor Day Weekend tradition, this wide ranging festival offers a perfect chance to head for the hills and enjoy the scenic natural wonders of Aspen, along with an always entertaining bill of superstar talent. The “jazz” in Jazz Aspen isn’t quite accurate – this year’s festival will see performances from reggae mainstay Ziggy Marley, living legend Bob Dylan and Colorado jam band favorites Yonder Mountain String Band, just to name a few of the acts on the eclectic schedule.

Colorado Rockies vs. San Francisco Giants
Monday, Sept. 1
Coors Field, Denver, CO
The Rockies will take on the Giants during a special matinee game, starting at 1:05 p.m. Enjoy the nation’s national pastime in the incomparable Coors Field – it’s one of the best ballparks in the country! Grab yourself a ticket early – these holiday games are known to sell out fast.
