Denver St. Patrick's Day Weekend
St. Patrick’s Day falls on a Thursday in 2016 – but Denverites will use it as the perfect excuse for a weekend full of Irish-themed revelry in the Mile High City. The 54th annual St. Patrick's Day Parade will wind through LoDo starting at 9:30 am on Saturday March 12th. Make a night of it and take advantage of great hotel rates!

The Denver St. Patrick's Day Parade is a festive and fun event for all ages that celebrates Irish culture and heralds the start of spring. It's the largest St. Patty's day parades west of the Mississippi, and the largest annual parade in Denver, with more than 200,000 people lining the route to enjoy horses and stagecoaches, marching bands, dancers, floats and Irish-themed fun with a Western flair. All in all, more than 200 entries and 10,000 marchers will take part in the festivities.

After Denver's big parade on Saturday, March 12th, dance an Irish jig down to The Curtis - a Doubletree by Hilton for the 2nd Annual ShamRocks party. A celebration of all things Irish, ShamRocks attendees can enjoy all-you-can-drink Coors Light, unlimited bar food, giveaways and more!
Entertainment includes Air Dubai as the headliner, plus DJ Rockstar Aaron spinning Irish Rock and today's hottest hits. ShamRocks will be held from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. inside the fabulous new Curtis Four Square Ballroom, which features a 2,500 square foot outdoor patio with a built-in bar and a fire pit. General Admission includes all-you-can-drink Coors Light, all-you-can-eat bar food, entertainment, and cash bar. VIP tickets are also available.
2016 Parade Week Events:
WHERE: City Council Chambers
The City and County of Denver will issue a proclamation for the Parade during a regular council sessions. The lighting of the Denver City & County Building to green will also take place.
Changing of the Sign Ceremony
WHERE: 20th and Blake
On Thursday, at the corner of 20th and Blake, the City of Denver will rename Blake Street "Tooley" Street in honor of The late Dale Tooley - longtime Denver District Attorney, one-time mayoral candidate and full-time Irishman. This usually takes place around 3:00 p.m.
