Denver Day of Rock: May 28, 2016
This free one-day festival partnered with Amp the Cause, a group that helps support more than 50 child-focused health and education organizations, and other sponsors to create a downtown Denver music festival that caters to all ages. The event has a five-stage lineup, more than 25 bands, food trucks, and lots of family-friendly entertainment. This is a festival you and the family won't want to miss!
Westword Music Showcase: June 25, 2016
Held at the end of June, this summer music festival brings local and national acts together for a day of great entertainment. Westword, Denver's alternative newsweekly, has been a staple in the community for decades and it continues to bring great events to the city. Underground Music Showcase: July 28-31, 2016
As is the case with most Denver music festivals, the Underground Music Showcase (UMS) started from humble beginnings. During its first year, 300 attendees come out to the Bluebird Theater to hear four bands. By 2006, the festival had to move to South Broadway to accommodate the number of music acts and festivalgoers. Today, it's one of the most popular music festivals in Denver, spanning a four-day period in July with more than 400 local and national acts and more than 15 venues and stages. Riot Fest: Sept. 2-4, 2016
Riot Fest is a multi-day music festival that specializes in metal, rock, punk, hip-hop and alternative music. Starting off in Chicago in 2005, the festival was such a success it expanded to have stops in both Toronto and Denver. This independent music festival is full of the best of the best in each genre, from well-known artists to new artists and everything in between.
