School of Hotel, Restaurant and Tourism Management

One of the most respected hospitality programs in the nation.

Established in 1946, the Fritz Knoebel School of Hospitality Management (KSHM), at the Daniels College of Business, prepares students for senior management positions in the fast-changing and competitive hospitality industry. KSHM graduates possess the knowledge and skills necessary to be successful in all aspects of the hospitality and tourism business.

Points of pride for Daniels' Fritz Knoebel School of Hospitality Management: Industry-savvy faculty: Students are taught by professional educators who have extensive industry experience and advanced degrees as well as industry veterans who are skillful instructors. They excel at bridging theory to real-world experience and teaching leading-edge management techniques.
State-of-the-art building: The recently constructed KSHM building serves as a management laboratory where students get hands-on experience in a 2,800 square-foot production kitchen, a beverage management center fashioned after a Tuscan wine cellar, a front desk operations center, 170-person dining hall and more with high-speed wireless access throughout.

AACSB accredited: KSHM is one of the few hospitality schools in the world housed within a business college, and has received the highest mark of distinction in business education: accreditation by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. You'll graduate from KSHM with a depth and breadth of business knowledge that other hospitality schools can't match.

Unparalleled learning opportunities: In addition to the KSHM facilities, our students benefit from our close proximity to Colorado's world-class resorts and Denver's metropolitan offerings. There are countless opportunities to roll up your sleeves and gain real-world experience.

Exceptional career placement: KSHM achieves 100 percent career placement for students who actively seek employment thanks to our extensive career development activities, industry ties and the many opportunities you'll have to build a professional network.
