More than 500,000 people make this free, four-day festival the focus of their Labor Day Weekend. Enjoy the offerings of more than 50 area restaurants and food trucks. Rock out to live music from big-name acts. Bring the kids to the KidzStage, featuring magic, clowns and puppets. Ride some classic carnival rides all weekend long.
Discover Catalyst: Colorado Sculpture

Where: Denver Botanic Gardens (York Street)
Denver Botanic Gardens celebrates the achievements and vision of Colorado sculptors in this outdoor group exhibition. Twelve artists view the garden spaces differently, injecting change in the surrounding landscape with their 3-D work. Perspectives of space are altered as visitors experience the Gardens’ grounds in a new way. The artwork introduces a variety of color, texture, and form into an already rich environment.
Spun: Adventures In Textiles

The Denver Art Museum (DAM) takes a wide-ranging look at textiles from pre-Columbian weavings to modern fiber art, Navajo blankets to an examination of clothing in art and photography in the campus-wide exhibition Spun: Adventures in Textiles. The museum-wide show is in celebration of the DAM’s new textile art galleries.
Take A Walk On The Cutting Edge At Nick Cave: Sojourn

Where: Denver Art Museum
Renowned contemporary artist Nick Cave will create a multi-sensory, immersive installation that will transport visitors to a magical world of color, texture, sound and movement. Cave’s exhibition will feature a combination of multimedia elements and performances along with a selection of figurative sculptures the artist has dubbed “Soundsuits” for which he has become very well-known.
Go To The Top Of The Continent on Mount Evans Highway Through Labor Day
Adventurous motorists’ last chance to get as high as they can possibly go comes on Labor Day. The Mount Evans Scenic Byway, just 60 miles west of Denver, is the highest paved road in North America. A day trip to the top is a journey that climbs to the 14,264-foot summit of Mount Evans – one of 54 peaks in Colorado that soar to 14,000 feet and above – the famous “fourteeners.” After Labor Day, Mount Evans generally closes to motorists due to snow.
