The road to the summit of Mount Evans is the highest paved auto road in North America, climbing to 14,260 feet above sea level. It is generally open from Memorial Day to Labor Day. Echo Lake is a delightful mountain park with picnic benches, lake fishing, and views of snowcapped peaks. From I-70 take Exit 240 and then Colorado Highway 103 to Echo Lake.
