WHY: Denver Beer Fest kicks off nine days of beer-themed events around the city on Sept. 23 through Oct. 1. Denver brews more than 200 different types of beer from breweries around the city. Denver’s craft and micro-breweries permeate the culture of Denver through creativity, entrepreneurship and camaraderie – distinct traits of Denver residents and craft brewers. While the Great American Beer Festival sold out 11 weeks early, Denver Beer Fest is an opportunity to be immersed in the city’s beer culture through more than 70 special events including firkin tappings, rare beer tastings, food and beer pairings and unique events, posted at DenverBeerFest.com. CHEERS!

VISUALS: TV crews and photographers will be able to photograph the dramatic entrance of the firkin and mallet, carried by Denver’s 16-passenger Patio Ride, Oktoberfest costumed models, and Colorado craft brewers. The firkin tapping will take place upstairs in the brewpub, with Wynkoop’s Marty Jones regaling the beer-loving masses with original beer songs.
