Denver, Co. (January 7, 2016) - VISIT DENVER, The Convention & Visitors Bureau, has promoted Jason Lusk, CMP, HMCC, to Associate Vice President, Convention Sales. Lusk joined VISIT DENVER in September 2007 as the organization's mid-market Washington, D.C. representative; he subsequently became the Sales Director for the D.C. Region, and in February 2011 he accepted his most recent role as Director of Sales.
Lusk has more than 20 years of experience in sales and marketing, management and conference and event production. Prior to his tenure at VISIT DENVER, he held various sales, management and meeting planning positions at Visit Baltimore, P.W. Feats, Inc., and The Impact Group. He is a Certified Meeting Professional (CMP), holds his Health Care Meeting Compliance Certification (HMCC), and is affiliated with the Professional Convention Management Association (PCMA) and the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE). He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
In addition to his professional experience, Lusk is a prominent member of the Denver community and meetings industry. He leads the metro Denver DOSM meetings and is a regular speaker at Metropolitan State University of Denver; and he frequently speaks to industry and community groups on behalf of Denver.
