In a united effort by several of the Mayor’s sector task forces, and created by VISIT DENVER, The Convention & Visitors Bureau, the tourism program is designed to increase leisure travel to Denver from throughout the Rocky Mountain region by offering more than 100 discount packages for theatre, symphony and opera tickets, sporting events, museums, theme parks, restaurants, shopping, art galleries, music festivals and more, all at the “mile high” price of $52.80. The campaign features billboards, print ads, Web banners and newspaper supplements, many of which will be shown on the Colorado Convention Center’s 40-foot long color screen.

Why: Mayor Hickenlooper created a number of committees to jump start short-term economic stimulus for Denver. The Hospitality, Retail and Cultural Committees collaborated on this campaign.
