The USA Pro Challenge will stage an exciting conclusion in front of the Colorado State Capital building on Sunday, August 26.
The full Denver time trial route can be seen here. Fans can also keep track of the action on “leader boards” posted throughout Civic Center Park.

Other top viewing spots:
- 17th Ave. (between Sherman St. and Josephine St.)
- Larimer St. (between Speer Blvd. and 15th St.)
- City Park (southwest portion of the park)
- Speer Blvd. (between Larimer St. and 9th Ave.)
- Colfax Blvd. (Civic Center Park to Speer Blvd.)

Civic Center Park will host a free, all-day festival with live music, including Big Bad Voodoo Daddy, Opie Gone Bad and Chadzilla and the Asteroids, a maxi stunt show (mini-motorcycles), a wide assortment of food vendors, New Belgium beer gardens, Infinite Monkey Theorum wine, official USA Pro Challenge merchandise, and plenty of cycling gear. The event is family-friendly, and will offer exciting entertainment – including the Strider bike World Cup competition, giant Jenga and much more.

Governor Hickenlooper and Mayor Hancock will be on stage for the final awards ceremony, just following the race finish at approximately 3:45 p.m.

Civic Center Park
(Media work room is in the Wellington Webb Municipal Building, 201 W. Colfax Avenue). Actual finish line is on Broadway between Colfax and 14th Street.

Sunday, August 26
11:00 a.m. – Free festival at Civic Center Park opens to the public
12:15 p.m. – Start Ceremony, including a tribute to local and regional firefighters and first responders, the National Anthem and a Denver Fire Department Honor Guard
1:00 p.m. – Time trial race to begin
3:45 p.m. – Expected finish; awards ceremony to follow
5:00 p.m. – Big Bad Voodoo Daddy and other stage entertainment
6:00 p.m. – Festival concludes

Start Ceremony (12:15 p.m.):
- Denver’s Deputy Mayor Cary Kennedy
- VISIT DENVER President & CEO Richard Scharf
Time Trial – Race Finish (1pm – 3:45 p.m.):
- 126 of the top professional cyclers from 24 countries, including: six of the top 13 riders from the 2012 Tour de France; and 10 of the top 12 riders from the 2011 USA Pro Challenge
Finish Ceremony (3:45 p.m.):
- Colorado Governor John Hickenlooper
- Denver Mayor Michael B. Hancock
- VISIT DENVER President & CEO Richard Scharf

TV crews and photographers will be able to photograph the exciting time trial for the USA Pro Challenge, city officials including Governor Hickenlooper and Mayor Hancock presenting stage-finisher awards with other city and race officials, and an estimated 50,000 people enjoying one of Denver’s largest free-festivals.
