From meals served to average check price, Denver Restaurant Week generated a big impact for the local culinary community.

DENVER (April 2, 2024) – VISIT DENVER’s 20th annual Denver Restaurant Week, presented by Superior Farms American Lamb, proved to be a great success. This year’s program ran from Friday, March 1 – Sunday, March 10 and resulted in 144,650 meals served and nearly $10.5 million in sales for local restaurants.

These results were based on responses to a survey sent to participating restaurants at the conclusion of this year’s program.

In 2024, 263 restaurants participated, the most since 2015, and eclipsing the 226 restaurants that participated in 2023.

There were four price points available this year ($25, $35, $45 and the new $55 price point), for diners to enjoy a multi-course meal, and there was strong representation at all price point levels. “We are so grateful to our culinary community for their ongoing participation in Denver Restaurant Week” said Flavia Light, Vice President, Chief Tourism Development Officer at VISIT DENVER. “This year’s success further demonstrates how restaurants help grow our local economy while supporting jobs and providing an enjoyable visitor experience. The growth of restaurant week would not be possible without community support.”

The history of Denver Restaurant Week goes back to 2005 when the program was created to showcase Denver’s growing culinary offerings over a traditionally slow time of year for restaurants. The program also aimed to improve the reputation of Denver’s culinary scene. In its inaugural year, 83 restaurants participated in the program. Since then, Denver Restaurant Week has grown to highlight Denver as a culinary destination with multiple James Beard Award-winning chefs and recent Michelin Guide recognition.

Participation in the program allows restaurants to serve those who may not be their typical clientele and with an increase in tips, sales tax and meals served this year, this year’s numbers prove Denver Restaurant Week is a worthwhile investment for restaurants of all cuisines and offerings.
