Cherry Creek North is a thriving, bustling and beautiful neighborhood, its streets filled with wonderful shops, restaurants, spas and top-notch hotels. Local businesses embrace pedestrians with open arms and their four-legged friends are no exception. Dogs are not just welcome, they are pampered, and many stores offer bowls of fresh water or delectable treats. Here, you see dogs of every breed, from well-coiffed Pomeranians to large and gentle Bernese mountain dogs.

Many of the area’s most popular outdoor patios allow dogs, and it’s not uncommon to see people sipping a cocktail while their four-legged companion indulges in a fresh bowl of cool water. Out-of-town visitors adore the area, and Cherry Creek North’s upscale hotels bend over backward to cater to dogs. Take a look at some of the perks that hotels have to offer.

The Jacquard Hotel

The charming Jacquard Hotel & Rooftop goes above and beyond when it comes to pampering pets. Upon checking in, the hotel’s dog-loving front staff greets your pet with a doggie bag and the surprises keep on coming. Your dog will receive a doggie bed, toys and treats during his or her stay. The hotel staff loves its four-legged guests and participates in a variety of events benefitting MaxFund, a local animal rescue shelter.

Jacquard charges a non-refundable $150 fee per pet/per stay for dogs up to 50 pounds each and has a special floor designated for guests with pets.

“We try to keep dogs on one floor out of respect for other guests who may have allergies or prefer to be away from dogs,” explains Gary Phipps, Jacquard assistant sales director. “We are seeing more and more people bringing their dogs, and we love welcoming them to the hotel. Cherry Creek is a very pet-friendly area, where businesses put out doggie bowls and even treats for dogs during a stroll through the neighborhood.”

Hotel CLIO

Hotel CLIO, a Luxury Collection Hotel, is all about making guests feel welcome and that includes the tail-wagging variety. After a fun-filled day roaming the area, dogs love to wind down in their plush rooms where pampering is a way of life. Guests are charged a pet fee of $150 per stay, and hotel staff go above and beyond to make their visits enjoyable and fun.

“Hotel CLIO offers the Luxury Collection experience for our guests’ furry friends,” says Christopher Polys, CLIO’s area marketing manager. “Dogs that stay with us are Cherry Creek North’s most pampered pooches. They adore our plush Hotel CLIO dog bed, tasty treats and personalized service from valet to our concierge.”

Dogs can also join their owners at the kitchen counter for a special treat. The hotel recently launched Bird Dog Happy Hour, a social time for dogs that takes place on Halcyon’s rooftop the last Wednesday of the month. Dogs and their owners can indulge in lively conversation and can choose from a variety of fun menu items, including Puppy Poke Bowls (brown rice, salmon and veggies), Chef Saura’s Peanut Butter Dog Treats and complimentary Pup Cups.
