In Colorado, pleasant temperatures and sunny days translate into bustling farmers’ markets and exceptional outdoor concerts and events. One of the best places to find fresh fruits and vegetables, fragrant flowers, local dairy, specialty food items and tasty treats to eat on-site is Cherry Creek Fresh Market presented by Kaiser Permanente.
Browse the delicious goodness and fun fare offered by 70 Colorado farmers and vendors located in a section of Cherry Creek Shopping Center’s outdoor parking lot. The market takes place on Saturdays from 8 a.m.–1 p.m. (May through October) and Wednesdays from 9 a.m.–1 p.m. (mid-June to September).
Catch the final Cherry Creek North in Bloom on Saturday, May 25 and watch spring-themed chalk masterpieces come to life on unique spaces throughout Cherry Creek North, a 16-block district across from the shopping center. Denver artists will be at work all day for this fourth and final Saturday in May.
Music anyone? The 15th annual Elway’s Summer Concert Series is another summer favorite that kicks off in June. On Wednesday evenings from June 12–Aug. 14, this popular Cherry Creek restaurant is opening its backyard at 5 p.m. with bands playing from 7–9:30 p.m. The tunes will range from hard country, Colorado funk and 1980s music to David Bowie, U2 and Eagles tribute bands.
If you need more reasons to get stoked for summer, make sure to mark these signature events on your calendar. The 49th annual Cherry Creek North Sidewalk Sale is a shopping extravaganza on July 18 – 21, with dozens of participating retailers and restaurants. It’s the best time to find great deals on clothing, jewelry, home furnishings, food and more.
