Details

This juried exhibit seeks artwork that tells a story. Art can be realistically, abstractly or expressionistically inspired by literature and legends, poetry and parables, novels and narratives, myths and metaphors. Your piece might have its own fiction, fable, folklore or fairytale. Think mystery, love story, comedy, tragedy and science fiction. Accepting all mediums (but video) that the viewer will perceive to be worth a thousand words. Juror, Richard Chamberlain, pursues several lines of work in visual and performing arts and is a published poet as well.
“Regardless of style, whether classical narrative art, nonrepresentational painting, or the implied storytelling of three-dimensional assemblage and sculpture, work that engages head, heart and spirit is always a plus. An image might be worth 1000 words or it might transcend words altogether.”
