Bikes and Big Wheels

Jul 21, 2018

Join us for Bikes and Big Wheels where kids (and adults!) can speed through our Big Wheel racetrack, and saddle up for a Bicycle Rodeo to learn the skills to ride a bike safely! Vintage bikes, video games, and exhibit scavenger hunts will highlight the history and evolution of bicycle travel.

Visitors are encouraged to bike to History Colorado Center, and children, 17 and under, will get free admission by showing their bike helmet at the front desk.

This event connects to the Downtown Denver Partnership’s 5280 Loop project. As a dedicated urban trail, The 5280 Loop will create a safe and stimulating bicycle route for the center city’s rapidly growing population of residents, employees and visitors, encouraging them to use active modes of transportation while engaging in Downtown’s cultural and civic facilities and open spaces. More than a trail, it will add open space to Downtown and provide a safe and beautiful place to actively recreate and engage with the Downtown neighborhoods, cultural amenities and more.

We would like to be part of reimagining the Downtown experience, and help unite urban life with Colorado’s outdoor culture by hosting Bikes and Big Wheels at the History Colorado Center.
