Capturing the Beauty of Open Land
“Capturing the Beauty of Open Land” will feature the work of 25 plein air artists who have painted on stunning, conserved public and private properties in southern Douglas County over the course of one week. This unique week of painting will culminate in a gallery exhibit and art sale that is free and open to the public on June 24 & 25 at the White Pavilion in downtown Castle Rock. “Capturing the Beauty of Open Land” celebrates the natural marrying of the beauty of the land and will feature hundreds of paintings produced over the course of the week, which not only provides Douglas County residents and the surrounding community with a unique cultural experience, but also serves as a reminder of why we live in gorgeous Colorado.
“Capturing the Beauty of Open Land” serves as an annual fundraiser for Douglas Land Conservancy, a 501(c)3 nonprofit land trust. This exhibition will be free and open to the public on Saturday, June 24, 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Sunday, June 25, 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. For more information about “Capturing the Beauty of Open Land” visit http://douglaslandconservancy.org.
