Colorado Book and Arts Festival

Mar 16, 2019

Details

The Arvada Center for the Arts and Humanities and Regis University are partnering with the Tattered Cover Book Store to present the Colorado Book and Arts Festival, a one-day literary arts festival celebrating books, arts and music for the whole family. The Center will be filled with award-winning authors, panel discussions, an onsite pop-up Tattered Cover Book Store, children’s area, artists booths and musical performances.

The 2019 Festival features a special Keynote Conversation with Peng Shepherd, author of The Book of M. The dystopian themes of Shepherd's novel echoes the apocalyptic theme of this year's NEA Big Read selection, Station Eleven by Emily St. John Mandel. This festival is the kickoff event for the NEA Big Read program which will feature a series of events through mid-April.
