Eagle Encounter and "The Eagle Huntress" Film Screening

Sep 10, 2021

Before watching Eagle Encounter and "The Eagle Huntress" film in our new Sturm Family Auditorium, meet a golden eagle and learn about their use in falconry dating back 4,000 years with Anne Price, REF's president and curator, author, biologist and master falconer. Anne will introduce one of the REF's golden eagles and discuss the ancient fascination with eagles popularized in the movie "The Eagle Huntress." Anne met the star of the film, Aisholpan Nurgaiv, during the Third International Falconry Festival in Abu Dhabi in 2014. Anne took part in the festival's education pavilion as the only sponsored representative from a raptor education organization in the United States.

After the eagle presentation visit the Helen Fowler Library to learn about Denver's Sister City relationship with Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia.
