Encaustic Exhibit: A Collection of Contemporary Works

The Art Students League of Denver presents an invitational exhibit of artists who work with encaustic and/or wax mediums, including cold wax and mixed mediums. Encaustic is a Greek word meaning "to heat or burn in" and painting with encaustic is an ancient technique in which heat is used throughout the process, from melting the beeswax and varnish to fusing the layers of wax.

Exhibition Dates: October 12 – Nov. 18, 2018

Free and open to the public during regular business hours.

Opening Reception: Friday, Oct. 12 | 5:30-8pm
